I went to a Vons supermarket in Mission hills to buy dinner food. I picked a prepacked steakhouse chili in the soup counter.
When I was about to open the plastic seal, I noticed a green mold floating on top of the soup. I checked the expiration date and it was dated 1/23/2019. There is no doubt that I would end up in the hospital if I accidentally consume the moldy soup. If this is a signature soup of Vons, then this soup should be made fresh at all times.
A mold will not grow over night. Either the store is recycling their food after the expiration date or it is not properly being stored in the right temperature. It is suppose to be my dinner at work. Now, I will starve all night.
Thanks Vons. Job well done.
